Biography

My career is a combination of operational leadership and creative technology. With a First Class BSc in Audio & Music Technology and an MSc in Creative Technologies, I view sound and systems as one. Over a decade of electronic music production and years building my hardware studio practice, understanding synthesis and refining workflow

has taught me that modular synthesis and complex supply chains both rely on the same core principle: refined, intentional design.

Artistic Practice (Croft)

What began in Norwich’s tight-knit DIY scene evolved with Midlands attitude into an upfront and gripping take on dance music. Croft crafts club-focused techno that’s patient and precise yet propulsive.

Rolling, heads-down grooves flex and sway beneath bubbling sound design, while swung rhythms and modular-driven electricity keep things in motion. As a producer, Croft has released on labels including Wigflex, Hardline, and most recently Ivan Smagghe’s Customsandfaces, with recent tracks earning premieres via Mixmag and airtime on BBC Radio 6, NTS, and Radio 1.

Rooted in hands-on experimentation and driven by movement, dynamic and detailed sounds are balanced with gripping low-end pressure. This sensibility carries directly into Croft’s DJ sets, where he has appeared alongside names such as Rhyw, Mia Koden, Radioactive Man, and Lukas Wigflex, among others. A thoughtful and adaptable selector, Croft blends varied influences with nostalgic warmth, cut through by a distinctly forward-thinking approach to modern techno.

His tracks have seen support from DJs including Ben UFO, EMA, Simocell, and CCL. Across both production and performance, Croft’s output is driven by a clear intent: music designed with the club at heart, crafted with care, and charged with style.
